So I took my R26 on a little driver 2 hoursish and noticed that the key was a little warm (not hot) when I removed it which made me wonder if it was bad for the key/reader. I now remove the key from the slot once I have started the engine. Whats everyones thoughts on this? I know they can be a little temperamental as well as the reader so I'd quite like to preserve them!

yeah makes sense to do that - my old R26 used to be the same but never thought about it really, fortunately ive got keyless in the newer one

  3. Only put my card in when it tells me to... leave keys in my jacket pocket or center console...

  4. never noticed the key getting warm before... will check that out next time i go for a blast...
I usually leave it in the slot...

  5. I never have mine in the slot because it wont stay there. If I put my foot down it fires out and down the side of the seat never to be seen again!

Ha! Thats weird! Mine always stays in but I don't want it to get too hot incase it fries the internals.
