   Do they just pull straight off, or are there any hidden screws, or do they need to be slid upwards etc. etc. ??

   Space Cadet

   After a bit of trial & error - they pull away from the pillar at the top slightly and then you slide the whole trim upwards towards the roof by about 1cm, the trim then comes away.
