Hi all i am looking at buying an 07 megane sport with 69k miles on. Ive been told its really expensive for the timing belt to be done and its a real difficult job. Is this true?
It is a expensive job. Most of the time people change the water pump at the same time..you dont want that failing. You can buy the kit,including pump from various places. looking at £500 upwards.
Were abouts are you based and is that 500 including parts? Im based newcastle upon tyne if anyone can recomend someone close to here
Andy Greer at Clio Turbo in Durham charges £420, includes Timing belt, water pump aux belt and an oil and filter change. Done my Mk3 back end of last year and can't fault the guy. His number is 01388417277
My megane 250 is 6 years old but only done 24.5k. Next service is belts :'( Is there any specialist local to Midlands people have used or just dealer it at £900?
Anything I should know about mate? Came highly recommended to me and the car has been fine. Got me worried now.
