Workshop manual states "Hold the throttle valve flap open manually." refer attached Seems some folks say that this (open manually) should not be done. Anyone know thru experience one way or the other?? Appreciate the assistance.
It's not too much of a big job to remove it from the manifold. Break cleaner will do the job removing the carbon excess and and a small brush ️ for stubborn bits
Thanks for the reply. I did it the other weekend when I changed the thermostat. All went well - lot of build up, both on the body and valve; it idles really smoothly even when cold so worth the effort.
