275 Trophy 2015,17000 miles,no mods. Went for a quick run in it on Sunday,going through the gears (in normal mode) to about 4000rpm when the throttle stuck as I was changing up,hit the limiter for a few seconds.Took it out of gear straight away ,revs went to normal. No dash alerts,starts fine,idles smooth etc. Noticing it's popping and banging a bit more since,even more than it used to. Thoughts ?
You sure it’s not your pedal getting caught on your matt? Ive had this happen and it frightened the life out of me!!
Well it was my first thought as the mat was forward off the holders. I came back ,secured it and stuck it down at the front just to be sure, but I wasn't convinced that was the cause as it doesn't seem strong enough to hold a pedal down ? . You're not kidding,it was a bit scary. Daren't bloody rev it now.
To be fair, my mat was fairly stiff rubber stuff. My mats always get shoved forward when I tilt and slide the seat.....pita!
My throttle stuck on and it was the throttle position sensor, fitted a new accelerator pedal pedal and it cured it.
