  1. For those who can change the setting, Wich throttle setting do you like most?

  2. I don't have this setting but I'd never ever take it out of extreme if I could.

  3. Extreme I find undrivable, too much difference with the normal map wich makes it very hard (for me) to adopt my rev matching/heel toe and just shifting in general.

I'm curious if many people use extreme

Linear I think I have mine it, makes it feel like a normal throttle pedal, all the others are useless tbh

  5. I voted for most liked, as per, but that's not most used - just to mention.

To opine on a couple of the points raised - I know you're joking but you really can't drive everywhere in extreme mode. It makes the car very difficult to control at low speeds.

I don't think the other modes are useless. It's the relative difference between the modes that makes the car feel so different. Put another way, it's because you get used to normal mode that extreme feels so much better. It really is like driving a totally different car.

The different modes all obviously start at 0% and end at 100% throttle opening, but it's the shape of the ramp or curve that makes a difference. When you initially start to press the throttle pedal, it takes a moment for the brain to realise how quickly you are accelerating. After this initial moment, the brain adjust the signal to the foot to continue the pressure increase, or to leave as is, or to reduce. Because extreme mode makes the car accelerate much more quickly in this initial phase, it makes the brain believe the car is a lot quicker and therefore more exciting than it normally is. This adds to the fun of the drive immeasurably. You do get used to it however, and then going back to normal mode makes the car feel broken.

It must be a thing, because it's one of the first settings F1 drivers will adjust when suffering low grip. Obviously they work the opposite way to a Megane in that they are always in extreme mode and turn it down to suit.

  6. I use the sport map in sport mode,I found extreme a bit to choppy when changing gear and in traffic. But I like the responsiveness sport gives without being too on and off at low throttle openings.

You're right about it feeling broken when you've used sport all day, then revert back to normal mode when you restart the car lol

  7. Linear mode for winter, low traction, PS4's etc. Sport mode for dry conditions with any hi grip tyre Federal etc.

All about corner exit for me, getting tyres to grip early as poss.

Also like Snow mode when super slippery, and as said Extreme mode too savage to control in the relatively narrow power band

  8. On the track, it can be Extreme or Sport, but with everyday driving, its best to use Linear or even Progressive, this Snow setting is a laugh as it feels like you dont have the throttle anymore.
