Thought I'd start a little progress blog on my track car, a 62k mile Saxo Vts with Jenvey throttle bodies.

I bought this late last year after a long search for someone small, light and capable.

It came to me with At Power throttle bodies, mapped on the original Citroen ecu.

It made 167 bhp on this set up before I opted for an Emerald K6 ecu. The car as then mapped at West Tuning in Thruxton and made 171 bhp.

It now has a set of Jenvey throttle bodies with 90mm trumpets, made 174 bhp at West Tuning with a rev limit of 7900 rpm.

The car is fully stripped, materials cut from bootlid, engine bay and interior, weighs 831 kg with 1/4 tank, decent power to weight and certainly surprises a lot of more expensive cars.

    Current spec -
    2003 Vts
    1.6 16v J4 engine
    Jenvey 45s ITBs
    90mm trumpets
    Jenvey fuel rail
    Jenvey inlet manifold
    Pug1Off Emerald loom adapter
    Innovate Wideband lambda
    Omex shift light
    Start button
Emerald K6 Mapped to 174 bhp @West Tuning, Thruxton
Ported & polished J4 head, matched inlets
    Clio 182 injectors
    Weber adjustable FPR
    Newman Phase 3 cams
    4 branch manifold
    2 inch Saxsport decat exhaust
    Peugeotsport Baffled sump
    Pug1Off aluminium crank pulley
    Msd ignition system
    Mocal oil cooler

    Vibratechnic 'Race' engine mounts
Peugeot 106 20CB90 1.3 Rallye gearbox fully rebuilt with new syncros & Quaife LSD
    Satchshift shifter

    Gaz GOLD Coilover suspension
    Brembo 406 coupe brakes
    Braided brake lines
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels
    Giti Gtr2 semi slicks

Fully seam welded shell, done properly, full engine bay strengthening
respray underneath, engine bay and interior, not a single bit of rust
    Fiberglass bonnet
    Omp lower strut brace
    Omp upper strut brace
    Strengthed strut tops
    Perspex windows
    Omp seats
    Sparco steering wheel
    Functioning roof scoop
    All bushes are Polybushed
    Stud conversion
    New clutch

I'm currently on the lookout for a standard steel bonnet to replace the max power style fiberglass bonnet.

Other plans include possibly a less aggressive front brake set up, the Brembos fitted at the moment are absolute overkill

Looking forward to doing a couple of trackdays this springs.
