The only thing i regret in all of the 2 months of ownership is the petrol bill... Hybrid turbo + all the rest of the gubbins makes me have to press that pedal a lot more
Would be interested to here which bit has for you had the biggest impact. My other car I drove on the road the first year to get to track days, tests and race meets. I got used to the cage, seat and harness although the cage remained both a pain to clamber past and a worry without a helmet on. The seat and harness I could do again no bother. No it was the constant road and transmission noise just unbelievably tiring to drive any distance which for me ruined the thing as a road car.
Removing all the trim inside. The cage upfront. No radio. Ive had buckets and harnesses in pretty much all my cars anyway.
That's my thinking as well and its why I am resisting like crazy with the Megane the ideas of going down that path again. Conundrum is mounting shoulder harnesses for use with HANS in a manner which is non-invasive to the rear trim, just can't see a sound way of doing it. I am thinking very hard about Sprinting/hillclimbing this car, I may have to take some advice from that crowd because unfortunately according to the blue book if a cage is put in it needs to follow their guidance which means a proper full cage with at least 1 diagonal and like you its the front section and door bars especially which becomes a pain, no way am I doing door bars again on a car that isn't a full on circuit racer.
