So updates! I'm working in Switzerland in the week now so only have the weekends (well a few hours as the misses gets mad) refitted the turbo, dropped the oil & ordered my front polycarbonate windows. Bought a new camera kit for in the car too!
It's a two camera recorder that bolts to the cage and records as soon as you power it on. It gets hard wired into the 12v and you can watch the video straight off the lcd box.
Looking good, what are you fixing the battery tray down with ? I know they fixings have become a bit of an issue with some scrutineers
I've used a battery tray that's bolted to the floor. It's a open one as its a dry cell battery so hasn't got to be enclosed.
Finally the calipers are done! And when i get home Thursday night i should have some nice delivery waiting for me! Cartek Battery isolator Front Polycarb Windows Wiring for my switches (Rain Light, Shift Light, Gauges etc) Calipers! Plumbed in fire extingisher Then i can start adding some miles and get it mapped!!
Callipers look brilliant, mine are black too but Ive no decals on them. Some finish on them, who done them ? Get some new bleed nipples to finish them off http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEL-Perfo...e&pid=100005&rk=2&rkt=6&sd=251641308029&rt=nc Ah fair enough, I was meaning the fixing anyway not the actual battery box or tray. Apparently some people have been riveting them to the car !
So i have made a list on whats need completing  Have to finish the wiring: Cartek Battery Isolator, Switches, Rain Light Have to paint:Drivers door, Roof, Rear, Boot Need to fix the brakes (need to get them helicoiled :mad make a floor plate for the drivers side. Fit the drivers poly window. Fit and plumb the extinguisher. Get some new IC pipes. Fit the bonnet and drivers seat! Then finally get it mapped!!! Fingers crossed i can get it all done before the 28th as that is when i have to pay the time attack money!!! ARGH
I think i have a alloy issue! Picking up another set of wheels on friday so i'll have 5 sets! 1 x 17" Clio wheels with DZ03 Tyres and a spare set of V70a Tyres 1 x R26 Wheels (No tyres Yet) 1 x R26 Wheels PS3 tyres 1 x 225 Wheels DZ03 tyres and my new OZ which will have my PS Cups on!
Cartek is all wired up, brakes fitted, fire extinguisher fitted! Have a custom switch panel coming too
Is the a/c delete kit a direct replacement for the aircon pump itself? as in pulley diameter and for use with the original belt J
Is this the part number for it: 8200509929 ? Was it you that posted about this on Facebook a month or so ago? great find btw
Wow so i havent updated this in a while!! Time Attack was an interesting series. No limits on power for your group so people with 400/500hp agaisnt cars with 250/300 isnt really that fun as you know you never ever will get those points to get you high in the series. After missing Cadwell and Croft im currently running in 8th position which isnt bad as the only other person that has missed 2 is in last place. Some pictures from the rounds Brands- Had an issue at Brands where the mount failed and my belt was rubbing on the radiator support, which meant i only was out for 2 15min sessions i know i could of done a hell of a lot better there as well! Oulton Park - With oulton park came a new turbo. TD0420tHL giving me a push of power and boost nicely all the way into the redline. Car was running well apart from a knock i was getting while moving, check all the normal stuff and everything was fine final check was that the rack was loose and knocking! dropped the subframe and tighten it up and all was good again. Well until i over cooked it and hit some tyres!! Only visual damage so not too bad! I went on a trip to Germany in the heap which wasnt fun at all!! Leaking fuel tank and broken suspension made for an interesting drive around the ring. Very oversteery and knocking its tits off. So i came home a day early and ordered some bits up! oppo lock New Black Front Bushes New Ball Joints And some cheapo tyres for the Final Round of Time attack as i killed my V70a in germany
its great to see other motors taking part in this championship apart from the norm..Great build fella. hats off to yer.
That is one epic looking meg mate. Looks like a fair amount of money and effort has gone into it as well. Top job.
So it was the Final at Rockingham on Saturday. New plugs cured the high RPM misfire i was getting so im happy with that! Rockingham grip is absolutly terrible in the damp back end was all over the place with PS Cups. The Nankangs on the front were quite surprising and im happy with the results that i got on the day. Gutting that the clutch started to slip in the final as soon as it hit some decent boost it was slipping like a bitch! My favourite picture that ive seen so far. Chasing a 360hp Alfa turbo with flames coming out the side of my car.
