Just a quick couple of questions about a Megane I test drove earlier today, Was a 225, 70k on the clock, all looked good from the outside. Got inside, drivers door pocket had a good sized puddle of water in it, guessing a seal somewhere? Anything to look for on others? Took it for a drive, put my foot down, went straight in to limp mode, which wasn't ideal? Also only revd up to 6, guessing that's a cold limiter? Any guidance would be good. Thanks
How much is this up for? Limp mode could be any number of things really. It needs a code reader to see what the fault is. Water in the door pocket is a common fault and is usually blocked door drains which is easy to fix. 6ish is the cold limiter yes. To be honest, if the owner is trying to sell this in this condition, I'd be inclined to walk away.
