I think someone on here with a megged engine 197 uses them, but that's all I know, was actually looking to take mine down there for some work
Well I went down to see Paul et al this afternoon, really got a great impression from them. He checked my car over, saved me £600 to £700 in work/parts which the car will need eventually but not right now. Most importantly the knocking I felt he can only detect a tiny amount of movement in the offside steering arm, rack nice and solid. He gave me a top tip which is to turn off the TC and then see how I feel about the car fighting over the bumps/torque steering and all that, well knock me sideways he was spot on. I floored the car a good half dozen times on the way home from lowish speeds, roundabouts and cross country. Anyone who knows Dorset roads will know how awful our country roads are and the car barely torque steered or thought me at all just the occasional bit of wheel spin. Really quite a shocking difference actually. Well done Renault you made an incredible car but put the worst TC/ESC system on the thing. Top marks to Tech 1 that is one of a hell of flying start to our customer workshop relationship.
