R26 Talk to me about front camber adjustment

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by Frimley111R, Sep 14, 2018.

  1. I heard from a lot of people that adding negative camber to the front can improve turn in. However, I have never done this or even looked into it, so...

Can this be adjusted without changes to the suspension (i.e. adjustable new parts)?

How much camber should I add?

What are the pros and cons?

I use my car a weekend toy and the odd TD so its not a daily driver.

  2. I don't think it can be done without adjustable top mounts.

PureMS were working on some which a member was testing but I think they are back to the drawing board.

  3. Can't be done with standard suspension.

Toe out can help with a quicker turn in and they do run some as standard.

I have a set on my mk2, had quite a lot of problem with them turning while on trackdays, tightened them up to stupid tightness and still would move and had to keep readjusting them, in the end i notched the bracket to lock the fitting to stop it moving, since then no problem.
