Taking seat apart

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by seven, Apr 13, 2014.

  1. My seat has developed an annoying squeek when I drive over spped bumbs etc. I want to take it apart to have a look and try and stop it. How easy of a job would this be?
Its the 225 drivers seat, full leather, also heated (if that makes a difference)

    Thanks

  2. the squeeks probably comin from the lumbar support adjustment and is a bit of a pain to get to as on my non leather seats theres a wire backing holding the foam in place. would be easier to see what your doin with the seat out. so iv just put up with it for now.

  3. Is it definitely your seat? I had a really annoying squeak that I was told was due to the bolt holding the exhaust heatshield underneath being worn loose.
After it was replaced with a bigger bolt the squeak went for a while but is now back.
May be worth making sure before ripping seats out
