  1. Hello all

I'm trying to find a place to get my mid box chop done on my 250.

I have been to 2 custom exhaust fabricators in my area (Heathrow) and they both quoted my £150!

Anyone had there mid box chop done around this area?

    Thanks

    Dan

  2. At that price I would put the rest to and buy a miltek system .......!!

  3. Should be no more than £60. I went to a long life garage in Basingstoke. To about an hour and did a brilliant job. They should be reasonably close to you mate.

  4. Yup mine cost £50 but i'm the opposite side from you :worried:

  5. Is it an MOT failure?

  6. Nope

  7. I was surprised when I had mine done, i was expecting it to be much more noticeable but could hardly tell the difference, then i saw how hollow that centre box is and realised why.

Makes it still nice for driving round town etc and a bit of extra noise when pressing the go faster peddle.

  8. 80 quid was the cheapest i could get. Longlife watford

Sounds great though. Well worth the money

  9. Blimey indeed, I had an Evora Exhaust done buy them and the cost was £££! They target higher end cars but surely a quick job like this would have made some nice beer money for them?

  10. I paid £80 at my local long life exhaust centre. Tried to charge me £100 but I managed to haggle a bit

  11. I rang the local longlife to me and the said ballpark 125 quid so I hung up. It's only a bit of straight pipe but the lack of noise is starting to get to me. I'm considering paying it. Hoping it makes a noticeable difference in sound... Can anyone tell me if the car is actually much louder after ?

  12. It's definitely louder. It pops and bangs more and sounds a bit deeper. Although I don't think it's quite as loud as when I first had it done, or I'm getting used to it.

  13. Ok cool. I will just have to deal with the silly price for fitting a bit of straight pipe  haha
