I've fitted a pioneer stereo to my 225 but I want to use the steering wheel adaptor. I know it's the yellow plug but there are many variants that all look the same and list the megane. Does anyone one know the correct one?
Hi, it depends on what year is your RS. A can bus adaptor may be needed. My 225 is from 2008, with "update list" OEM stereo and i needed the adaptor for a chinese din1 android radio with extendable display. Ordered from Nexxia.co.uk. For the cars with can bus like mine, there are 2 pieces/units needed. These have worked for me: http://www.nexxia.co.uk/product.asp...talk Control Adapters&product_code=CTSRN005.2 http://www.nexxia.co.uk/products.asp?s=Car Stereo Fitting Kits&c=CT Stalk Adaptors You have to look on the nexxia (or any other) site for the one it fits in your car, critical is car production year and OEM stereo type "update list" or "tuner list".Type has to be written somewhere on the radio, mine was at the front side. About the second link, it's the "patch lead" and it's stereo manufacturer typical, you have to look at your new unit, what slot or cables it has, for the steering wheel control cables. Mine has worked, something that i hadn't really expected, had found everything rather confusing and no real instruction anywhere. Big probability that you will not take the indications on the renault display, rather than a permanent "RENAULT". Time and temperature will be OK, they stay there anyway, without a stereo unit installed too. Good luck, hope to have helped you
