The steering column of my Mk2 Megane RS has some sort of slack in it. After checking the price of a new steering column unit, I was a bit shocked...quite expensive:-( Does anybody have the correct part number of the Megane 2 RS steering column (LHD), please? And are there different numbers for LHD and RHD units? Is the RS steering column specific for the RS model and therefore different from box standard Megane ones? I think I read somewhere that the RS has a more direct steering, but is this in the rack an pinion unit only? Could anybody recommend a proper company where a steering column could get overhauled?
