Thought that, my 172 used to pull on the megs at first but in that video is obviously a different story haha.

 

It looks worse than it is because the camera was on the passenger front window making it look like I'm not hitting the apexes.

I'm running Goodyear Asymmetric 2's and 76k mile old original suspension so it did well against Dan's R26 which is on Pilot Sport Cups and BC Racing coilovers. There wasn't much difference in power either as I'm not running Stage 2 boost at the moment as it's on a 630cc injector base map.

Yes, Dan had much more grip in the tight section then I gained time back on the brakes and through the fast chicane.

I had a play with a 172 not that long ago and I was pretty surprised that it kept up lol

 

172-182's are like 1.2's on track when you are mapped.

 

R26's are a different league once mapped, and handle better as well.

What are the best mods to do to get to around 290/300 with a map?

 

You would probably need a hybrid turbo unless you've got a strong engine.

My spec is:

RS Tuning remap
Forge intercooler, hard pipes, actuator, recirc valve
ITG induction kit
630cc injectors
Ktec 3" exhaust and decat

I'm hoping to get 280/285 once the map has been tweaked.
