If you go from stage 1-standard map with the RS tuner box does the map go straight off or does it have to learn the ECU so to speak
steve I am not sure what you mean, but with the tunerbox it replaces the map in your ecu, obviously you can save the original first if you ever want to go back, say to have serviced under warranty, then just load the stage 1 back again, its not one of them map boxes that links to your car permantly. hope this helps m8
He has went from being mapped to standard by the sounds of it. Should happen straight away, The ECU won't be requesting the same fuelling/boost or ignition as it would when running the "stage 1" map.
Sorry steve after reading Jamie who is spot on, yeah it comes straight off and will only request parameters of standard map, once it loads in. ive swapped my stage1 to standard and back again quite a few times, for data logging purposes ......
