Squeaky brakes

  1. Noticed after i have been driving my megane RS 265 i get a squeaky, light rubbing sound at low speeds, sounds like the rear brakes. Goes when i apply the brakes. Plenty of meat on the pads and no lip, only done 6700 miles so discs are like new.
Has improved a little after some spirited driving. Was sat at the dealership for a while so guessing it could be a build up of rust? Thoughts?

  2. If the rear pads rust to the discs over night you will get this. Goes after a couple of minor stops though, usually.

  3. Starting to get more shine on the discs now so perhaps they could've been sticking a bit. See how it goes and if it continues will just have my local garage to take them apart and grease the calipers and tears of the pads.

  4. Its the standard compound renault use i believe, i binned mine for yellow stuff, they didnt squeek, then had brembos own oem equivalent, they didnt squeek, now running trw oem equivalent and no squeeks.
