Hi Guys, My car recently seem to have a speedo issue and would like some advice. The car is a Mk2 2.0DCI from 2007 for a start, The top centre digital screen where you read you mileage dims itself gradually to a point when the writing disappear totally, background still lit but no black writing. Do any of you have an idea before i try a auto sparky?
mine did this before, i rubbed the screen and it came back could see if the connector is loose on the back, but i dont think it will be as the clip in. pull the speedo shroud off and i think the dials just pull out
i will try, if i tap on the top of the shroud that seats around and on top of the speedo it comes back to life but then after a few days it starts dimming gradually until i tap it again
+1 on this. Mine started showing gibberish and hieroglyphics. Rubbed the screen left to right a bit and been fine for almost a year now.
to update i pull the shroud/Cap cover above the speedo. then screen came back to life, put the shroud back on and been fine for a month now never done it again, aaaaahhhhhhh Renault electronics...
