Right I'm going to do it and been on contact with a very reputable turbo builder near me who will hybrid my td04 with billeted housing, turbine etc to my spec. Now been speaking to a chap in Malaysia with rstuning mapped car with a custom made hybrid with HL turbine and 19t compressor and made 340whp and I was under the impression that mk3 hybrids are 20t? So if you wouldn't mind please share with me thr specs of your turbos or your recommendations Thanks
Hybrid means mix. It doesnt mean a set standard. You build the turbo for the power you want and spec if accordingly.
Are you making any modifications to the exhaust side??? I'm almost certain RS tuning spec hybrids have the exhaust blades clipped to help stop compressor surge
There are various Hybrid Specs out there for the Mk3. Ktec use a 19T IIRC where as RST and the companies on the continent are using 20T's.
Td04hl turbine standard 12 blade, 11 blade or 9 blade. 19T compressor 11 blade billet, 6/6 billet, 20t 11 blade billet or 20t 6/6 blade billet. what you want really!
