SOLD TO FIRST VIEWER Welcome to the advert for the sale of my Renaultsport Megane F1 230 Team (R26 for short ) I bought the car back in Sept last year on 64k, (it's on 5.5k more now on 69.5k), completely standard (as I wanted) and as in good condition as I could get. I also only really wanted a silver one so this one was perfect for me. Owned by a guy who works for Aston down in Warwickshire. Really well looked after, still on OEM (but not the original!) 235/40/18 Michelin Pilot 2 tyres and had the belts and water pump done by the well known Fred @ BTM on 44k (just before he left for Oz). So, if you want an in depth storyline of how it's got to where it is now, please read my thread on this site http://cliosport.net/threads/daniths-megane-r26-2-0t.799478/ (warning, it may bore you a bit and there's a fair bit of spam in there unfortunately!! Also, the head unit and rear brace have been sold - brace does F all anyway, standard head unit is back in) Reason for sale is I really want a DC5 Integra and a couple have come up so that's the only thing I'd be interested in a deal with I'm afraid. So in summary: Standard goodies 2007 (57 plate) Mercury Silver (TED69) regularly washed, polished, sealed and waxed 2.0 Turbo 16v 69k with FSH (mainly Renault - last service done a month or so ago by Mark Black @ MRS) MOT will be done this month so 12 months LSD as standard (absolutely amazing!!) Front Brembo 4 pot brake calipers Front Recaro trendline seats - perfect condition *Pretty much all of the work on this car has been done by Mark Black @ Midland Renault Specialists, so you know it's been done properly. He is the main man for Megane servicing by a mile and worth the long drive for me. The engine mounts, fuel pump clean out and braided fuel line were done by Alex Hayward (another Megane nut) near me in Stockport. Upgrades & modifications (all in my ownership, max 5k, and all brand new or almost new) GPI front mounted 60mm intercooler Pro perfekt recirc valve with uprated spring Ramair induction cone ARK motorsport yellow silicone hoses KTEC 3" Sports cat (not cheap) - so 100% MOT and insurance compliant but mega gains!! (Apr 2017) KTEC 3" cat back exhaust (Feb 2017) TTV R26r single mass flywheel conversion (May 2017) R26r uprated clutch (May 2017) Siemens DEKA 630cc uprated injectors (as OEM tend to fail and also run too lean when mapped) (Apr 2017) EFi parts remap (twice as the first time the OEM clutch slipped, so I got the uprated clutch fitted and went back to make sure was ok) - 273 bhp/300 ft/lbs (capped torque) - if anyone knows Renaults, they'll know Chris is the main man for them as well as mapping in general - so you know it's done well Fully polybushed (Powerflex purple bushes front and rear including ARB's) Full poly mount inserts fitted (Powerflex yellow) Track Focus Direct uprated polyamide steering rack bush (common failure of OEM item) H&R lowering springs -25mm Genuine Renault R26r rear spoiler painted to match (I believe these are difficult to get hold of now, Renaultpartsdirect no longer sell them) Goodridge braided brake lines all round with Motul RBF600 fluid and Performance Friction Z rated pads Retrimmed 'R26' steering wheel - by Snappy - in alcantara and leather with yellow top band Retrimmed leather gear gaitor with yellow stitching to match Cloth arm rest out of a DCi Lee Boardman short shift mod Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.3 wheels in Anthracite - not multi fit, these were built to order direct from Rimstock (et55 18 x 8.5j and correct PCD and centre bore for the Megane 2) (May 2017) (sealed with C5 ceramic coating to keep them in tip top condition/easy to wash) Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tyres with loads of tread (225/40/18) (Dec 2016) Repairs/renewables Clutch was done in May along with new OEM slave cylinder Rear calipers were brand new last year Front calipers were going to be given new seals but upon inspection when doing brakes they weren't needed Brand new Brembo HC discs up front/OEM drilled rears New passenger side OEM Renault inner tie rod Brand new OEM Renault shocks done when had springs fitted Brand new OEM Renault suspension top mounts, same time as above New Renault exhaust mounts New engine mounts fitted (all 4 back in Sept when I got the car, then fitted the poly inserts a month later) Rear bumper resprayed as it had a couple of scratches on and they were annoying me New driver's headlight as the old one was getting a bit frosty like the plastic lights like to do LED interior bulbs and licence plate bulbs Shortened front plate (but still 100% legal - smallest legal size available, from Demon plates) Braided fuel line to rail Swivel bearing grease bolts fitted (so allows them to be serviced rather than have them seize up and replace - genius idea!!) Replaced the PITA window modules and wrapped them in cellophane to prevent water ingress Bad bits (it's a 10 year old Renault) Small crack (2cm) long under headlight on front bumper (previous owner hit a pheasant so he replaced headlight) Front OEM splitter needs tiger sealing back on - most replace with an aftermarket) Couple of small parking dings as French cars are made of tinfoil Small chip on rear spoiler thats been touched up I honestly have lost track of all the things I've had done to this car - I just got carried away!! Spent in excess of £11k on this in this time, so I know it's a bloody good car that has a lot left in it. I've just cracked and finally can bring myself to blow daft money on an old Honda, as the price always put me off them before. I won't be letting this car go cheap, I can easily sell some bolt ons separately over time and sell the car with less goodies in order to get what I need for my DC5, which is going to be 8k at the very minimum. I honestly believe that you won't find a better road going R26 available, and that's not me being arrogant, the list of parts above reflects this. Feel free to buy one cheaper and sort out all the issues they have. I can honestly say that this car has none and has never let me down. I've thrown money at it to keep it this way though. If you want it for track, it's more than capable. Even I managed to overtake some much more serious stuff at Oulton on the RS3 tyres and fast road pads. That was just a 3 x 20 mins session so not a full track day, so it's not a hardcore track dog, it's a fast road ripper. I'm after £7,450 ovno for it as it is - and considering the amount spent on it, (only in the last year!!) I consider that more than fair. If you're after a bargain or want to haggle me down a lot - I'm afraid this isn't the car for you. As said, I'd do a deal ONLY on a DC5
