  1. Hi all, while changing hoses to braided I had this unfortunate incident.

Currently I've crimped the end to stop the leak and looking at options.

I've had the under tray off and had a look and replacing the line myself seems like a huge ballache on my back on the drive.

    So my options are:

I have a mechanic friend who seems very confident that he can come and repair the line rather than replacing it. Obviously this will cost me next to nothing and will be up and running fairly quickly.

Or I ask a friend to trailer me to a garage and have them replace the full line.

I've had a look and I don't think new lines are available, ebay has some good condition used ones or the garage will make some up.

I suppose my question is regarding the repair. In ease and cost the repair is by far the best option. However are repairs ok? I believe he will cut the pipe some.ways down and add in a connector and then bend a new end piece with a new union. I can't see any issues but just wanted to have some opinions.

Don't you sometimes wish you didn't start a job
