hey guys i have an issue with strong smell of exhaust gas in the cabin (megane rs 2013 with decat) even while the windows are closed and the AC works on circulation , every 2-3 days i have a soot accumulation on the front window ,dashboard and the Ac shutter, what can it be ?
i changed all of the studs including downpipe,turbo,Exhaust manifold but nothing changed it maybe connected to the AC Pipes ?
If you've checked the top of the decat pipe check the bottom too. Mine leaked badly from there so I fitted a new gasket and some copper nuts / bolts and it's not smelt since.
same thing here. I tracked down every potential issues , no visible traces. I have new turbo gaskets , new scorpion catback , all gaskets , bolts in order , no leaks found .... I suspect rear section final tube is dumping gas under the bumper. .... but on my other diesel meg the exhaust is just under the bumper and I have no issues.
this is the position of the exhaust. I might made a kind of basic backplate to block the gases entering under the bumper.
