225 Sm Inlet manifold

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by cenzlama, Oct 20, 2017.

  1. Hi members, happy I joined this forum. Plenty of good advice and activity. Wondering if anyone has changed their Inlet manifold on the megane 225 and if it’s made any difference with airflow. A friend is selling his sm Inlet manifold which went on his Clio mk2. Wondered if it would fit my megane and if there’s any benefit
    Thank you all in advance

wont fit as the ports are different shape and the standard inlet manifold is fine people have 350bhp+ on the standard inlet

  4. Good Matt took the time to reply, his info is flawed though. The sm inlet has exactly the same port shape as the 225 head.

Do you need it? Dependa on the setup, but as he said, if you aren't 400bhp plus it isn't worth the hassle!

  6. Hhhmmm, don't which one that is but that's 197/250 port shape indeed. Sm manifold is made for the 172 isn't it?

172/182 I thought it was just made for the mk2

  8. Yeah that's what i thought hence my comment. 225 and 172/182 head are the same

The 225/R26 defiantly have different shapped ports than the 172/182
