225 Slow clutch pedal issue

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Graemeshaw, Oct 10, 2015.

  1. Hi all
Looking for someone to confirm if this is normal or not?

    https://youtu.be/DY4-bJ3mMm8

My clutch pedal seems slow to come back up
And some times sticks half way up (especially when kicking it's head head) ie when warm or hot
It seems to have three "positions"
Fully up, half way down and fully down. Is everyone else's like this?

    Could someone please check?

Should it be depressing that spring straight away when pressed? Or should it only depress the spring when pushed half way down?
I've changed the clutch and slave cylinder and it's made no difference
Could it be the master cylinder? Or could it be the clutch pedal assembly? Or does that look ok?

    Cheers
    G

  2. I don't have a solution but mine does exactly the same as yours , especially after 20mins on track it will regularly stick fully down when Hot ... Drives me mad

  3. Week Spring, fluid change ?

  4. Mmmm
Not good, I bought it to track!
    Must be a solution

  5. New master cylinder I think will sort it just not got round to swapping it

  6. Ok
    Ta
I'll swap mine out an let you know!
Don't think it's an expensive part or a big job

  7. It could be the return spring on the clutch peddle. My 225 peddle started clicking and sometimes sticking. It then stopped and few days later, it dropped on my foot while driving. There's a thread about a replacement from a renault van. I brought one but never fitted it. The peddles been fine for 8 months with no spring
