Single mass flywheel £250

    Selling a used single mass flywheel to suit the 225 clutch kit.

    This was removed from my 225 Trophy this week and is in perfect working order and condition.

    Please not only the 225 clutch kit works with this flywheel.

    How much are they new? And will it fit with R26.R clutch??

    Please not only the 225 clutch kit work with this flywheel i read that a few times lol ???

    Sorry that's meant to say "please note"

    These are around £350 new iirc.

    Also to add I've recently had an r clutch & smf fitted in place of this flywheel & 225 clutch and noticed no difference at all in terms of drive & performance.

    So what's the difference in terms of performance between the DMF and SMF? Or were they just fitted on different models? apologies for newbie question..

    All came with DMF from factory inc R26.R

    SMF is lighter so there's your 1st performance improvement.

    DMF's always need to be changed with a clutch change, I believe this is not the case for the SMF.

    There's more to it than that, but I can't really explain it, its to do with the forces spinning the flywheel and the fact its lighter

    It's to do with inertia. The less weight, then the less rotational mass, so the lighter flywheel allows the engine to rotate easier and also slow down faster.

    strange the car had a smf fitted Steven.
    Bet the car feels like new after the stuff you've replaced on it :
