Any one tried this yet? I did it yesterday and it was so easy. I did get some strange looks from other people filling up their cars as I simply got out my car, filled up and then drove off. For those that don't know, heres a link. http://www.shell.co.uk/motorist/shell-fuels/fill-up-and-go.html
So does the pump only dole out the amount you specify? Sounds good to me - the idiot at the till at my local (none Shell) garage got both barrels the other day whilst nearly making me late for work. So slow. (of course it was his fault, before you ask :mad
That's ok until there's a problem with the system and you get arrested for driving away and failing to pay lol.
Where did you imagine that up from? You say the maximum you wish to pay and then the pump will cut off when you hit that limit, but if you stop manually before your limit, you only get charged what you put in your car.
I'm surprised you do. West mids and west mercia constabularies aren't overly hot on bilkings. As long as it's a civil matter - you've attempted payment and under £60 it won't get pursued. Police aren't bothered if: attempted payment, number plates not visible or no distinguishing vehicle markings etc. It's very frustrating for me personally.
