Service history!

  1. My cars coming up to needing a service (68000 miles) was just wondering if you lot on here service your cars yourself or take it to a garage for the stamp in the book.
On all my previous cars I used to service myself and not worry about the stamp just keeps receipts of the service equipment but my megane cost me a lot more money than the other cars.
just wondering what some of you do and is it worth paying out for a mechanic to do what I can do myself for a stamp!
Ive already bought Fuchs pro s oil to use.

    thanks in advance matt.

  2. The question you need to ask yourself is how long do you intend to keep the car. If it's forever/long time then crack on and do the work yourself.

If however, you are planning on selling up soon, I would say think about getting the book stamped. I personally wouldn't look at a R26 without full service history. This doesn't have to be dealer history though - any of the reputable specialists you'll find on this site will actually make your car more saleable to most people that know these cars.
