Started my R26 up this morning and the display says 2,900 ish miles to next service - no problem. Started up this afternoon to come home and the display says service due. Question is, does this message work just off miles since, or days since, or a combination of, or can some sort of fault cause this? I have no other lights/messages atm. I realise the service due message comes up a little while before the 12k but so far under? I can't see how many miles to go any longer either as this message replaces the other.
So it does actually record the date of last service, not just count the miles? Looks like the £2220 in maintenance isn't enough for this car in the 247 days I've owned it then :mad:
Yeah it counts the date as just after i bought my car it had over 10k miles till the service was due, then one day i started my car and same as you, it said service due and the mileage was gone. I had a look over on the other forum and their was a thread confirming that its mileage OR time. You can always reset it yourself? IIRC you scroll to the service due message then hold the stalk button down for around 10 secs, first the message will start to flash but carry on holding down the button and it will reset to 12,000 miles let go and it should be reset. Its been a few months since i did mine but i think that's how you do it i did mine with the engine running, not sure if you need to though
Service due soon i got up the other day had 2000 miles before it was due a week earlier, sure last year it only came up 1000 mile before, but as said if it works on time too that explains it!
