250 Sensor not quite in.

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Scott Lewis Chambers, May 6, 2020.

  1. Changed intake pipe today at last, and really struggled to get the sensors back on. I managed to get the fat one on okay. But the other one. It's the long sensor that has the Actuator and everything connected. Its about maybe about 10mm out. I've put a jubilee clip around it. It's definitely in.

It be okay like that? Just couldn't move it any further in.

I've got an error message about anti-polution system. I had that before so I don't think it's connected though. Ordered an Obd to get to the bottom of it.

    Cheers

is that on the air intake pipe, if it is then you don't need the clip and as long as most of it is in the pipe and can't fall out, it will be fine.

  3. Yeah the one that goes between the air box and turbo. Okay cool. I just couldn't get it in any further no matter how hard i tried

It will be fine, it's only to dump excess air pressure from the wastegate control.
