Hi, Anyone had any experience with these? I have a 15 plate RS265 s/s in Arctic white with leather recaro's, cup pack and spare wheel. Only done 3500 miles. Not a mark on it. They've offered £19665 which I thought was reasonable. £35 less than I paid for it brand new! Thoughts?
Yeah we took a knackered 1.6 mini to them. Everything was broken on it. They gave us the money and we ran as fast as we could!!!
only offered me <50% of what i was told me car was worth, so i am waiting till spring and then sell it privately. If you are happy with it grab it and run
50% less than their initial offer? That's shocking. I've heard that they knock you down for any little scratch or chip but apart from one very small stone chip which they probably won't find, mines immaculate.
That's the thing. They intise you with a fair offer then when you've drove to them they know they have the upper hand because you want to walk away with money in your hand.
Got full price quoted. Well happy. He couldn't find a mark on it. Shame I had to get rid but a £35 loss in 8 months isn't bad.
How did you end up with a 15 plate 265 anyway? Didn't realise there was such an overlap - mines a 64 plate 275 Trophy. Glad you're happy with the deal and I did think they would use the old 'bait and switch' routine
It had been sat in a dealership showroom unregistered in Cardiff I think. I bought it in June last year through a broker for £19700.
Thats hardly any mark up at all especially when as traders the requirement checks and warranty they legally have to provide now by law. You'd think someone would go along and knock at least £500 off that price. I wonder if Webuyanycar cocked up and took a hit on it? Still worked out well for you Result
I think they did. I put the details in on webuyanycar website yesterday and they only offered £18300. They put it through BCA in Derby but it didn't sell first time through. They must of took a hit for Bristol Street to buy it and make a decent mark up on it. I'm happy though. Car only stands me at £35 for 8 months motoring. I can get another brand new one for £17800 through griffintaxfree.com.
Thats a very good price! I assume your in the forces since you mention Griffin? A friend of mine got his brand new 250 for under 14k
Seems like you had a pretty good deal! i'm surprised they do deals for people in the forces in te UK, i know they do in America but in the Netherlands, forget it!
I used WBAC when selling my E92 M3, got initial quote more than what a BMW dealer was offering for a trade-in. Booked my appointment and went along to WBAC who run the quote again and it was up by nearly £1k so they honoured it. Got £100 knocked off for stone chips on bonnet, but still seen it as a win. Took cash, jumped on a plane to cardiff and drove home in the Trophy less than two days later....all good. I'd use them again.
