Scuttle drain check

  1. Wheelarch mate, matt e has posted a link in this thread.

  2. Just pull it upwards, comes out easy, bit of a pain getting it back in tho.

  3. It's the drivers side is that still in the wheel arch?

Its covered in water so hard to grab it, does it just pull out? Are there any clips or anything ?

Hopefully the drain cleaner will have worked overnight

  4. Get a pair of long nosed pliers on it, pulls out pretty easily, cut the bung off the end, makes it easier to put back in, no need to take arch liner out.

  5. im an expert on these poxy things now

  6. GOOD. You can do mine then!.

  7. Ok will try that next weekend, the passenger side is free so don't think it will flood soon. Did not think it would come you so soon.

If you live near leeds feel free to come do mine!

  8. Is it worth getting a grill putting over the holes to stop stuff going into the drains?

The drivers side was completely blocked and on the passenger side it was able to drain. All the grime was found in the drives side drain cleaned out the passenger side drain too but was mind in comparison.

Gave it a quick clean and threw it back together.

Thanks again wouldnt have even know to look under there if it wasn't for this.

  10. Just had to buy new carpets, foam, and underlay from RenParts due to how badly mine was flooded! Stripped the interior out and tried to dry it as best I could the first time (Thought it was a minor one) and then it's happened again! so new carpet, foam and underlay. FFS!

  11. Bet that cost a fair few pennies

  12. £110 iirc from RenParts, free next day delivery though!

  13. Bloody hell. Turns out the firewall foam which is a real bitch to remove is wet too. Won't be able to get it out so most likely going to have to do my best to air and dry it.

  14. Cheap!
