Iv wanted to replace a double din radio with a standard unit since getting the car. Made a little fascia plate with a cage for the gauge to sit in and covered it with some grey fabric. Other than some Araldite over spill. Well happy with the results. Think the radio reception is better too.
Mines in the tray just below the radio held in with sticky Velcro so I can take it out easy enough, I've managed to tuck all the wires behind the dash but it's quite a useful bit of kit.
