Hope this is posted in the correct section, we are travelling to Switzerland and Austria in june and my sat nav only does UK and Ireland it's the built in Renault carminat tom tom with rs Link and monitor. Renault want £200 for a full Europe card but I'm wanting to know if anyone has manged to update there system without paying through the nose for it
Not sure how much it is but if you download TomTom home onto a pc you can plug in the sdcard to the pc and download updates, buy maps, voices etc etc, I don't think the maps are that expensive.
I have finally gotten round to attempting to update my maps etc from TomTom Home. However, I get an error when doing so: The download was interrupted and these items have not been added to your device... Error when contacting server: Unauthorized Annoying! Will have to figure out whether I can buy maps from the TomTom website or something.
OK I restarted everything and installed things one at a time and managed to update Speed Cameras and Premium Speed Cameras for the UK. I think Maps will need to be purchased separately.
