R26 Running out of ideas/patience/money etc etc etc

Discussion in 'Suspension, Brakes, Wheels & Tyres section' started by eddie ninja, Jul 4, 2019.

  1. So I’ve got braided lines, decent fluid, decentish pads and venting to wheels.

Just done a trackday today at Snetterton and the braking was good and didn’t get any brake fade so I’m happy with that.

But now I have a check ABS and check ESP earning.
Is it just a loose connection? Is it because it’s a hot day?

Someone help. I’ve had the car 2 years and done about 10 Trackdays and have only had one without issue (if you ignore the 2 flat tyres on way back home!).

Has anyone got an R26 that consistently does trackdays without issue cos I refuse to believe it!!!

Maybe a build up of rust/dirt/brake pad material on the abs ring, unclip it and clean the sensor, also worth trying to clean the rear seal on the wheel bearings, as this is where the abs ring is.
I normally push a bit of cloth in the sensor holder and give the hub a good few turns.
