Running 245/40/18 PSS

  1. Looking at 4 new tyres really want the PSS but cant get them in the right sizes, just wondering what other peoples opinions are on running a slightly wider tyre? I know there isnt much difference but wondered what other people thought, and if they were buying would they run a wider tyre. If not ill go for PS2 in 235/40/18 just a bit weird with things like this not sure if i run them it will anoy me.

  2. This interests me also...

  3. You can get super sports in 225 which would be a better fit than 245 and cheaper too.

  4. Yeah did see the smaller size too, i know there isnt much in the size so think i might just go for the 225 as waiting for them to come up in the correct sizes means i have to keep these dichfinders on, which are out and out dangerous dont understand why the previous owner fitted them are there awful.

  5. Well the r26r came with 225 tyres and there generally considered a better fit to an 8 inch wheel than a 235. The tighter the fit the less the tyre will roll within reason.

I'll be fitting the same to my road wheels eventually

  6. I run 225/40/18 pss on my 250

  7. Brilliant thanks for the reply's just wanted to hear that other people ran them in that size before i bought them.

Dave do you still doing detailing? Think i once inquired about getting my ST done with you, have you got an upto date price list? Mine could do with sealing before winter really kicks in as dont think it has ever seen any waxing/ sealing from the last owner.

  8. Order a set from love tyres as they were the only place i could find with 225/40/18 with XL but has been canceled as they have non in stock and have no ETA for more stock. Do people bother so much about the Extra load rating?

  9. I've just had some 225/40/18 Pilot Super Sports delivered, fitting them to my new wheels when they arrive!

  10. Are yours the XL or just 92Y?

  11. 92Y. Got them from Tyre Leader.

  12. Ordered the same this afternoon cheers for the help
