I'd love to, as a tourist this time. I was visting under different circumstances in the 90s, ie with the British Military (both UN & NATO). I was in Ploce in 1995 and Split for most of 1998. We used to frequent Trogir a lot on the latter tour. Beautiful country. It would be nice to see how much the place has changed in 20 yrs.
Good things remained, bad also. Split 1998? You were on your way to Bosnia? Were you ever in the "upper" coastal parts, Islands and Istria?
Both in 95 and 98. Tomislavgrad and Lipa in 95. Based out of Gorni Vakuf in 98. Although I spent most of my 6 months in Split in DJ Barracks building stuff. The remainder was spent in Banja Luka. Never went further North up the coast than Trogir. I went to Macascar (Sp?) a few times, which I know is South. We had guys on the Island of Brac but I never went.
I think we should rectify that this summer? A week in pool villa sorrounded by some of the best driving roads in Croatia?
