I've got launch control on mine it's controlled by the clutch switch if the clutch is not pressed car revs as normal. maps can be switchable too.
Yeah that's right. 1st gear enabled Keep clutch planted Rev to 4k RPM and it will hold. Mind you ... I've not actually used it yet. Scared of breaking something.
Powerful FWD cars are notoriously shite for launching off the line, think in the 3 years i have owned mine I've done it a handful of times.
They're really terrible, lucky to get traction before you hit third gear and even then it's very condition dependent. Fun just to be a hooligan sometimes when no-ones watching and hoof it
Got back from our annual summer Ring trip, a couple of days ago. Another great trip and the Megane performed superbly. Our group this time - Megane had very similar performance to the M3 - The car was great round both the GP circuit and the Nordschleife. I could have gone slightly harder with the v3s, but kept them soft to give that extra degree of safety. Michelin PSS were fantastic. We had a quick blast on the Autobahns on the way home. The car hit 160mph with surprising ease and even started pulling on the E46 M3 from 120+mph.
It should have a fair bit more pace than the E46, Mine was level pegging with them before i had it mapped again and gained an extra 40bhp/torques. Looks great on track though, Interesting to hear your thoughts on the PSS on track. Ive always ran Semis on mine for track work but in two minds whether to swap my current PSS's out for some more again for a couple upcoming TD's
I've run PSS on a trackday at the Ring, Bedford, Snett and numerous TF laps. Fantastic tyre. They don't give me the same level of confidence as R888s I had on my 197, but a great tyre for daily driving and the occasional trackday. I'm sure you could even use them solely as a trackday tyre. The only 'negative' I've experienced is that they generated a lot of heat, more than I've experience with other tyres so you just have to keep an eye on pressures. I would run Cup 2's, but I use my car daily and don't have space for another set of wheels. We went for 6 nights. Stayed at Eddy's as usual.
Love this car! What interior bulbs are yours mate? Changed mine and the interior lights work on a very random one now where they won't work when the doors opened or if one switch is at one position etc
Lovely car. God I want one of these! Steering wheel is pukka too. Are your seats cloth or leather mate?
How is the wheel holding up? Has it worn well? Looks really really nice! Think I am going to get the same thing...
Jack @ RSW won't have to worry about quality. Keep it clean you'll be fine. Was there today getting a qashqai one fitted.
I've had a few suede wheels and keeping them clean is fine but your hands do perspire slightly when driving especially in hot weather which can cause wear. It does look so good though. Definitely getting the same for mine when I eventually get the car!
Not much change really on the Meg. Passed its first MOT without any issues. Ive bought some Team Dynamics 1.3s from a member on here. My plan is to stick some Cup2s on them for the summer and use them for summer driving and trackdays. I've got them on at the moment to use up the remaining tread on the Pilot Sport 3s. Really liking the look of the car with them on. I also had my standard Cup wheels refurbed in Gloss Black.
Looks great, I mentioned on the Turini thread these being a alternative option at roughly 1/2 the price of the Turini's only difference is marginal weight and these only come in 18" which is fine if you prefer paying less for tyres anyway What is your suspension set up, looks pretty much spot on.
I wasn't sure if I'd like them at first. Really grown on me and with the offset they fill out the arches much better than standard rims without needing spacers. I'll stick some 245 section Cup2s on them soon for added awesome. Suspension is KW V3s. Really happy with them Matt. Direct fit as well so no messing around.
Quiet day at the office and just re-read your thread. Such a complete RS250? Any other plans? Ring this year?
