RS250 charge fault.

  1. Evening all,
Had the charge light come up the other night, slung a new battery and alternator on the bloody thing, but I’m still getting the charge light.
Read the codes using maxicom and when the fault comes active the charging voltage goes from 13.5v up to 14.4v, and the code for ‘upc-alternator link” becomes active.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or know of a fix?
    Thanks.

  2. Sounds like the regulator in the alternator is faulty, but you said you put an new alternator in? Original part?

  3. Mate I had the exact same thing, remove the nearside headlight and check the loom that runs alongside it when it's removed, after years of having the headlight in/out mine had rubbed the wiring through and corroded the wire running from the alternator to the fuse box/body control module. Mine took ages to find but I got there. I did the same new battery and alternator still same. The loom runs up the side of the headlight. Hope this help pal
