Hello, I'm from Australia and I have an upgraded Scenic with a Clio-172 engine. It's still got the Automatic transmission, which is nice in traffic. I track it sometimes and can sortof chase Megane RS-3's.
Welcome on board. Funny Frankenstein you have there. Not sure I'd have started of with an auto box though. Highly doubt that you will even remotely keep up with a M3RS though, but good having some aspirations...
Well, the fact that you overtook it on track doesn't mean it's faster, does it. I've cycled past quite some Ferraris when I lived in Central London. Doesn't make me faster! Not mocking you mate! Glad you like your car and enjoy it.
I think there's a big difference between traffic and going hard at the track. Everyone has their own way of dealing with traffic - this is mine - lol.
We had a track day this week in Sydney. Took the Scenic out for some laps. Managed to overtake a standard 172 and was keeping up with a Clio-III which was good. Here's a video from the day: Nothing really about my Scenic. After a drive in some of the other cars it's obvious that I can make mine faster with a Turbo, wider wheels and bigger brakes. So I'm probably going to be doing that.
