Hi, was wondering if anyone on here has one? There is one for sale in my local Renault dealer. Have rang them about it and they dont have a price for it at the minute as its just arrived in. My 225 is going in for a service on the 16th so have booked a test drive for then. Been wanting to buy a new car for a while and dont mind spending a fair bit of cash, and this car just looks awesome! We'll if you are to buy a new 265 and add the optional extras the RB comes with (recaro seats, cup pack, sat nav, RS monitor, 18" alloys) they work out around the same price. Not to mention the RB will hold its money a lot more due to there only being 30 of them in the UK. Also I'm in love with the colour of the RB!
Drive it and decide, i chopped my r26 in for mine and never looked back i looked at the rb8 but i got vat free on my 265 and the overall price difference was like 6k for the same car! Plus i prefer the tibor alloys and dont like the spoiler colour. great cars, alot more refined than the old shape, build quality is miles better
Yeah I kind of regret buying my 225, it was a rushed decision after wrecking my skyline. I still love it but if I had of done a bit more research I probably would have just bought a 265! My cousin has a 2011 Megane Coupe 1.6, and I love the design of it. Really comforatable and alot less 'plasticy'. I will drive it and see what sort of money theyre looking for it and then decide. They dont have any 250/265's for sale, only the RB8 but surely they could order one over from the mainland? Dont really want to spend more than £28k though.
If the price fits then buy it, 2nd hand the extra cost for the rb8 model might not be so extreme. I am really tempted to go for a 265 as the interior alone is a big step up. Will wait until I get bored with my r26, it is still plenty of fun for me!
Yeah im unsure now. Have a friend who works in a Renault dealer who can get a me a LY 265 for £14k, which sounds alot better to me!
If you don't mind spending the cash then go for the RB8, Then again I look at the cost of it and can't help but think (no one will forgive me for saying this on here) how about an S3, 135i or VXR which are very similar in terms of cost.
I'm in a renault garage just now getting some work done on my r26 and they have a rb8 in the showroom, I love it, just wish I was able to afford it.
