RS Megane at WAXSTOCK 2014?

evening everyone

thought id post a thread up to see if there is any interest in a club stand at this years waxstock which is a show and shine event dedicated to all things car care and detailing

heres a few event details

WHERE - the ricoh area, coventry CV6 6GE

WHEN - sunday 27th july

TIME - 9am

"The Arrive and Shine event, sponsored by ValetPRO, is a less rigorous event for cars that turn up on the day. Traditionally, we provide a professional wash bay in the morning, to help you prepare, then judging takes place in the afternoon, with trophies and prizes generously sponsored by a leading car care products manufacturer. The categories are:

• Best Paint
• Best New Car (< 3 yrs)
• Best Older Car (3 > 10yrs)
• Best Classic Car (10 > yrs)
• Best Works Vehicle
• Car Club Winner"

the format is fairly simple. drive down on the morning (or from the hotel if staying over) with the cars suitably prep'ed for the show and once parked up either in an area inside the arena or outside on a suitable paved area further prep the cars for judging later on and prizes for the best club stand.

although this is a detailing show dont worry if the paintwork on your car isnt perfect or you have a few stone chips!! cars are not expected to be at the same level as the top 16 being shown in the main hall. a fresh coat of wax, clean wheels, arches etc with no tar spots is more the kind of level expected in the club show and shine. just as clean as possible really (although im sure me, Glen and a few others will help give others a hand on the day)

tickets for the show can be bought at a discounted price for clubs so if we get interest of 10 cars or more i'll speak to the organisers about that.
