Rs megane 250 rolling road session today

  1. Just out of interest has anyone else had their standard megane 250 rolling road and if so what bhp figure did you get mine was 264 which I thought was quite impressive for a standard car on normal unleaded fuel

  2. It seems that the 250 always makes nearer 270 bhp. There is a video on YouTube with Chris Harris and the 250 against the Focus RS and he mentions this.

  3. can't seem to post the link

  4. Totally standard, mine ran 279 at RST

  5. Me too, ran 265 bhp

  6. Mine ran 275 standard at RS Tuning before I had it mapped.

  7. I saw 2 standard focus rs on the rollers and both made just under 280bhp. Was a rolling road day and a lot of other cars made what they was expecting.
There was a lovely mk1 escort with cossie power which made 496 bhp. His last run on a different roller made 501 bhp.

totally agree with the low ford figures my brothers focus rs was 289bhp standard ford claim 301 I think? Saying that though my 250 was only 257bhp standard. I think the stock turbo on the focus is poor my bro now has a gt28 he runs a more power than me now but there's nothing in it on the track between them.

The early MK2 FRS always ran less than what the books quoted, Was an issue with the stock map

Yeh I heard this said before.
my bro's is a 2010 car though some ford idiot gave him a rubbish chat saying it was emissions related and ford did it on purpose?

Something along those lines sounds about right, Im sure Ford would update the calibration on it to take it to the quoted figures but TBH a proper map was the far better option on them LOL!
