Hi guys, I guess this is a dumb question, but I can't find the ODB port, can anyone tell me where it is? Br, Toby
If it's like the R26 it will be at the bottom of the centre console infront of the gear stick. Will be behind a plastic panel. I could be wrong though
Centre console under the radio, plastic panel that pulls off. It's held on very firmly as the two clips are massive over kill to hold it on.
I did so carefully using a thick allen key as a hook. Like I say, very stiff, massive overkill, usual Renault they put massive clips to hold a small panel on but fiddly little clips that break at the drop of a hat on anything else.
Yes I finally got it off.. took a screwdriver and with some force I managed to get one corner out and so on.. luckily I didn't break the thing Thanks for your help. Now is just part that my odb reader doesn't seem to be working.. nothing happens when I connect it..
I can't get the odb meter to work.. going to have plug it in to another car and see if it works there.
Put the keycard in the slot and while in gear press and hold the start button without the clutch down. The car will turn the ignition on without starting the engine. You will get a message on the screen along the lines of "remove keycard". This is the same technique we have to use while remapping via the ODB port.
Ok tried that but no nada on the meter. Tried the meter on my wifes car and nothing there either. So going to return the meter and order this one instead: http://www.ebay.com/itm/18136744762...iewitem=&sspagename=ADME:L:OC:GB:3160&vxp=mtr
$70!!! Honestly you don't need to spend that much. Mine was £5-10 from HK. Like this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BLUETOOTH...iagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item338b305688

It'll arrive with a plastic moulding that reads 'made in china', probably over the road from the ones above. It's your money though...
Jeps it's made in China as everything else these days but still It has gotten some good reviews: http://www.amazon.com/ScanTool-4272...1LW/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?showViewpoints=1
Here's some info: STN1110 (ODBLink LX -> uses the STN1110 chip) is the world’s smallest, lowest cost multiprotocol OBD to UART interpreter IC. It provides an easy means of accessing vehicle data, including diagnostic trouble codes, MIL status, VIN, Inspection and Maintenance (I/M) information, In-use Performance Tracking (IPT), and hundreds of real-time parameters. To maintain compatibility with existing applications, STN1110 has full support for the ELM327 command set, while outperforming the original ELM327 IC in every category: stability, performance, and features. More info: http://bluetoothobd2.com/tag/obdlink-mx So the the cheaper ones use the old elm327 chipset while ODBLink LX uses the STN1110 chipset
