275 RLink Freezing when connecting iPhone

  1. Hi all, I seem to have an issue with my RLink system freezing up when I connect my iPhone via USB to play music. The only way to fix it is to disconnect the phone, at which point I get access to the system again. I can listen to music via Bluetooth, but prefer USB as it both charges my phone and has better sound quality. I updated the car to the latest software the day I got it, so I can't be sure but it seems to have been working fine before I updated. Any info on how to fix this, or how to reinstall the update?

  2. Take the hint and buy a decent phone :tongueout: lol

  3. I'm not sure whether mine is on the latest software, I did update it about 6 months ago, but when I connect via USB with an iPhone to play music from Spotify I don't seem to get any issues..

Are you playing from Spotify/Apply Music or something else? Which version of iPhone? And what software version is your r-link currently?

Otherwise, not sure what to suggest other than trying to update the software again?

  4. I'm on the very latest iOS and the very latest RLink software, and it happens with any music software. Is there any way to roll back to the previous version and then update it again? I had the engine running when updating so I'm pretty sure nothing went wrong.

  5. Hmm that is odd. I'm on the latest iOS and think I'm on the latest R-Link... I'll have a look to see if I have an update pending...

I'm unsure whether you can roll back R-Link software I'm afraid, but from the way it updates I would suggest it may not be possible.

  6. Damn. I'll try and work something out.

  7. I sorted it! I just pulled the fuse for the R-Link then put it back in again. If it works in an Airbus it will work in a Renault.
