So I've read about the cup cars getting a revised (stiffer) electrically operated steering. I assume this was basically a different map and the hardware is the same. Does anyone know if it's a separate ECU/controller for the steering? Does anyone know if it's a plug and play job or does it need pairing to the main ECU? Does anyone know the part number? Does anyone have one? RS 175 Lux
This modification is possible! Do you have access to Renault clip with reprogram function, if so you can do it. You need to reflash the abs ecu and the body control unit with (cup) firmware which will tighten up the steering slightly. A good point to mention, well a bonus really is that with this mod were able to turn of (TC) fully, the none cup only allows (TC) to be manually switched off up to 30mph. Also if you do reflash the firmware your (tpms) monitors will be deleted! Which is good news. If you live down south direction (Wales) specifically I could do it for you. Regards phill
