I had my R26 gearbox rebuilt after it spectacularly exploded, but now appear to have the reverse lights stuck on, unless i put the car into reverse, and then they go off!!! I've disconnected the connector from the reverse switch on-top of the gearbox so i can drive it around, but obviously if i go into reverse there is no lights at all. Is this likely to just be a problem with the switch, or is there something else going to be causing it to be "switched" so it's on normally, but off when in reverse? Really struggling to understand how this can happen Cheers!
The connector on the left is the one i have disconnected to turn the reverse lights off entirely... but i also notice there's a blue one just below the shifter.
