Retro fit cruise control

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by GSI-MAN, Mar 7, 2016.

  1. Hi there I have a 1.9Dci 2002 Dynamique and have seen that you can fit cruise control.
I have the wiring loom where the cc switch goes and I have an aftermarket HU fitted and do not have the steering wheel stalk control wired up to the HU.
How can I retro fit with this set up?
Any info would be a help!
    Cheers

  2. Anyone done this conversion ??

  3. why does the head unit and stalk controls affect the cruise control? there is one switch on the dashboard, then 4 buttons on the steering wheel

  4. Don't have steering wheel controls but I have heard you can use the HU stalk controls.
    Cheers

  5. Steeering wheel controls and cruise share nothing (as far as i know) other than the fact that the cables are loomed together in the dash, not sure if cars without cruise have the loom components though!

As a minimum you'll need a driver airbag unit, the switches from the steering wheel and dash, and someone who knows what they're doing with Clip, i'd say the 'using the steering wheel controls' is a bodge where you manually wire up the buttons on the steering wheel controls to do what the 4 proper cruise buttons would normally do
