  2. Hi Azza, Welcoime along, you seem a proper renault fan or you like pain...

To be fair you are right, these car seem to put a smile on owners face that other cars don't seems to do even expensive ones. A few people on here have a lot more expensive cars and track a good old R26.
Do you have any pictures of ya baby

No. its going to be full forging, bigger turbo, upgraded suspension, big brake kit, roll cage etc etc etc :tonguewink::tonguewink:

  12. I was clearing out the garage today an found some stainless exhaust bends an a bit of straight pipe in 2.5" an i thought to myself that would do for a backbox delete :tearsofjoy: and it begins:sunglasses:

  14. Well technically the car isnt here yet so the countdown clock has not yet started ticking, maybe when it turns up ill see it in all its standard glory an ill just drive it an wash it an no more. I could even use cheap fuel as its not mapped :dizzy:nah v power all the way :tearsofjoy:

  15. Ok ian you win the mods have begun heres whats on order
    French flag grille sticker +5bhp
Black diamond badges +5bhp (per badge)
R26r spoiler never dyno'd a stock car with one on but i reckon a good 20bhp increase:sunglasses: then a good snow foam an thats it all the other oily bits are perfect as they are apart from the gear change can anyone point me in the direction of a decent short shifter

  16. Just to add my last cars had the k-tec item which was fantastic but id like to know if theres another good un out there to avoid k-tec tax:tearsofjoy:

Are you sure it get that much of a power boost i thought it was more for a R26r spoiler, badges i'm not sure about, always left mine as standard.

I'm not sure who does the short shifter's now

  18. The spoiler is new territory for me so could be way more, i mean they look fast sitting still :sunglasses: stickers are +/- 1% dyno proven gains so easy power imo:tearsofjoy: forgot ive got a set of led headlight bulbs as 2 set were sent for my last meg so they make an extra 5bhp but only at night :sunglasses::tearsofjoy:

With all that extra power you are definitely going to need better screen wash

  20. I only use the the revolutionary invention from the 90's named rain x :sunglasses: cos of this rain an debris slides off the screen without screen wash, so an easy 25kg saving equals 5bhp:tearsofjoy:

Bloody hell, didn't realise that, i use Rain X that must be why my standard 265 was so fast :laughing:

No used it for years, don't know if there is anything else out there that worth trying, just stuck what i know and i had a lot of it to use up.

Used it on the visor of my helmet for my Rib

  27. Well give me a shout pal an ill meet you there to show off my standard meg :sunglasses: its always nice to meet a fellow renault nut an never met chris heard he's a lovely chap, bit of a trek for you from plymouth tho ?

He is such a nice person to deal with, honest and talks to you about what he's doing, unlike someone else i have used before.
Yes its a bit of a trek but so worth the drive, i have already been there twice a month or so ago.

Soon as i get an appointment i'll let you know, be good to meet up

  29. Its good stuff i remember when my dad showed me how it worked when i was a kid, it blew my tiny mind, on the screen of his mg maestro, fun fact my first car many years later 2ltr mg maestro thanks rain x:sunglasses:

  30. Look forward to it pal, ive spoke to him via email about meg fuel systems he must of replied to me over 10 times with info an advice which i thought was amazing as some tuners wont give you the time of day without crossing their palm with silver

I really liked the MG Maestro Turbo and the Montego turbo, but i had a Rover sd1 V8 at the time :laughing: so i think i had the better option :sunglasses::sunglasses:

  34. Im good thanks pal ive no need for an upgraded fuel system now as my car is standard :sunglasses::tearsofjoy: gone are the days of the adjustable fpr an a bosch 044 nailed to the underside of the car buzzing away standard is the new modified :fearscream::tearsofjoy:

You know there is an inherent problem with the fuel rail on the Mk2's, its okay if it's standard tune :laughing:, but once you start playing :anguished:

  36. Im fully aware that number 1 hole can be starved of fuel by the poor fuel rail design which is why im gone glue my bluetooth obd adapter to the obd port so no laptops can be connected for mapping but i can still read fault codes on torque pro :sunglasses: but it wont have any as its oem perfect :smirk::tearsofjoy:

As long as you know, it's happened to a good few and it's a costly job if it goes wrong

  38. Beast :sunglasses:sd1 v8 my old man had a 2ltr sd1 for about a week then saw the light an came home in an mg maestro 1.6 with working talking computer week later the fuse was out an she didnt talk anymore:tearsofjoy: a good while after he got a rover p6 in brown with a v8 what a motor :sunglasses: i do love the old stuff even though i know its garbage an the jap stuff of that era was far superior, an i know where an mg maestro turbo is rotting away the guy is a bellend an wants mega money even though hes gona let it turn to dust number 302 of 505 :disappointed:

I bought it a month after passing my test, it was just over 3 years old, loved that thing, my mates had Fiestas, mk2 escorts and one had a Capri 1.6, we used to take it in turn driving to the pub, but they all wanted to take my car instead of there own :laughing::laughing:
I was waiting for a P6s to be finished off after a rebuild, but it was taking too long and the SD1 came up.

Always the case, they would rather see it go to waste than anyone make it good again.

  40. Touch wood, ive never had that issue jay my best mate who maps all my cars has the same mindset as me an we go against the grain an see what happens so far we've done very well my 330d with a hybrid from turbodynamics should of made 330bhp it made 365bhp an 550lbsft of torque with perfect egt's. my forged r26 made 370bhp/360lbs limited cos of clutch, with a td04l19t china charger an fake forge cooler, turbo was much bigger than stock td04 frame so flowed better an had billet 6x6 comp wheel an cost pennies there is a pattern between the big names cant do this an that until you buy this part bollocks i put a built rs tuning 333bhp car to shame in a stage 1 271bhp car mapped by jay with stock injectors to boot
